✨Welcome to The Simple Fix, I’m so honored to have you here✨

If you look to the right, there’s a little bit about me, but I’m sure you’ll get to know me if you hang around! I started The Simple Fix back in 2016, took a very long hiatus because I didn’t really know what I wanted it to be, but after years of chasing dreams that I thought would fulfill me, I’m back doing what I love. The ability to share all the garden, home, and animal things with y’all has gotten my creative juices flowing and I cannot wait! Sticking within the core of this blog, we keep it simple around here, my husband and I always say, “Less Is More” and boy is that true.

When we started the journey to building our garden in Spring of 2021, we envisioned a space that embodies the best use of space and sunlight (as our home and mature trees block a bit of morning sun). I wanted a combination of raised beds, containers/pots and open space to grow some things in ground. We have come a long way and learned ohhhh so much, but isn’t that what it’s all about? Learning from the trails and tribulations of the good’s and bad’s (which I’ll share in another post later on). Our first year the harvest was small but the learning curve was huge! Growing food that we are able to harvest and save for seasons to come has been such a blessing and turned into something I never knew I needed. I’m so excited to share all the gardening inspiration, tips that have worked for me in the past 5 years and look forward to hearing all the tops and tricks you might have to share!

Along with the garden, I will share all the yummy home cooked meals that my husband and I (honestly my husband but I like to think I’m an amazing Sous Chef) whip up in the kitchen and smoker. One of our passions together is cooking, since we first met in 2014, cooking was always something we loved to do together. Still to this day we will look at each other in the morning and say “Whatcha feeling for dinner?”. If we don’t show up to a family function without a piece of meat or side dish, then we are definitely not invited next time (just kidding 😂).

Again, from the bottom of my heart, I am truly so excited to build this platform and truly appreciate your time stopping in! All the love 🤍
